Open Gaming License

PREAMBLE

 

This license allows anyone to make supplementary rules and game content for ColostleTM and either publish it for free or sell it, without ColostleTM taking a cut. This license is an Open Gaming License (OGL) and does not allow anyone to create anything other than supplementary gaming content with the ColostleTM brand, setting, concept and world.

 

For example this license does not allow the commercial publishing or creation of: standalone art, stories, or products or merchandise - relating to the ColostleTM world and brand.

 

N.B - Art created solely for the purpose of illustrating supplementary gaming content is allowed under this license.

 

CONTENT

 

1. If you adhere to these terms you are allowed to publish free or commercial material based upon and/or declaring compatibility with ColostleTM without express permission from either Nich Angell or Big Punch Studios.

2. What is created must be strictly supplementary, that is to say that the material created must build upon the ColostleTM base rulebook and require purchase of the base rulebook to be able to be used.

3. Art and text from our books and digital content may not be used or translated, unless you have our explicit permission. You may use the names of creatures, locations and entities of the game world of ColostleTM but this is done with the understanding that these terms are Copyright © Nich Angell 2021.

4. The mechanics and game rules of ColostleTM may be reused and referenced freely.

5. By using this license you rescind the right to take legal action against Colostle or Nich Angell over any similarity between your content and any official Colostle content.

 

BRANDING

 

1. Your product cannot use any of the official ColostleTM logos. This includes but is not limited to: The ColostleTM: A Solo RPG Adventure logo, the ColostleTM text only logo, or the umbrella ColostleTM media logo unless you have our explicit permission. (see below for visual on these logos)

2. You are allowed and encouraged (but not required) to use the ColostleTM Compatibility logo. (see below)

3. You are not allowed to give the impression that your product is an official ColostleTM product or that we endorse or sponsor you in any way, unless we have made special arrangements with you.

4. You may send a digital version of your finished product to Nich Angell at nichangell@hotmail.co.uk to check if your product is compliant with these guidelines.

 

LEGAL

 

1. Nich Angell, ColostleTM or Big Punch Studios take no responsibility for any legal claims against your product.

2. Any legal disputes, controversies or claims related to this license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom and be settled by a UK court.

3. The following text must be included in the legal text, somewhere visible in the publication, and on the website or storefront where you promote the product:
   
   [Product name] is an independent production by [author or publisher] and is not affiliated with Nich Angell, ColostleTM or Big Punch Studios. It is published under the ColostleTM Third Party License.
