Use a standard deck of playing cards and check your draws against prompts and rules in the book to see what you discover on your adventures, and then use those prompts combined together however you want, to write sagas of your exploits and legend in your adventurer's journal...

The Colostle Core Rulebook is the required engine for all Colostle products and expansions - you can't play the other books without it. However, along with a deck of playing cards and a notebook to keep your journal in, this core book will take you on hours of adventures without any need for any of the expansions at all!
